  Company History

     Sompo Japan Insurance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has been established since 13 June 1997 with registered capital of Baht 300 million. The former name was“"Thai-Yasuda Insurance Co., Ltd." after Yasuda Fire & Marine merged with Nissan Fire & Marine on 1 July 2002, the new entity has its new name and becomes Sompo Japan Insurance since then.

     Sompo Japan means the Great General Insurance Company of Japan. The Company is a joint venture among three major shareholders namely;

     1.Sompo Japan Insurance
     2.Surapon Foods
     3.Sahapat Group

was the first fire insurer in Japan. Today the company has grown to be not only a general insurance company but also a comprehensive service provider for risk management.

is one of the top frozen foods Thai producers who has diversified in full range of frozen food related business for both export and domestic sales.

is one of the most powerful manufacturing groups of leading quality consumer products in Thailand comprising of more than 200 companies.
